I really like the simple uniforms, with the Block U of course. I like that we add the Black uni once a year. We definitely have to keep the Block U, even if we drop the Drum and Feather (not that I want to drop it, but understand if they do).

Supposedly that was not an issue to the PAC as long as the Ute tribe approved. I like Wapiti as a mascot. We'd be the only ones.

Changing from the Block U or the Dn'F to half of the Under Armour logo would be unbelievably stupid. The distinctive Block U design has been part of the university for nearly a century.

Other than that I like the uniforms. I sincerely hate some of the uniforms that have come out in recent times. Oregon had some good ones along with the incredibly ugly, Boise had that weird sweatstain thing going in the VT game, the cougs had the Bib, etc.

As for camo, I liked the all-camo unis Army wore in the game against VMI this year. Of course they are the only school who could pull it off.

You and I obviously look for different things in a uniform. By boring I mean that uniforms do not have sufficient contrast in them. Alabama, Penn State, Texas, and Oklahoma are boring to me on this list. I disagree that they have the best uniforms, and while they are classic, that is built on decades of tradition that imbue them with a "classic" look. But they also suffer a bit from lack of imagination.

The Utes have good, sharp uniforms now. I see no reason to tinker to greatly with them.

Tradition is important, but given that Utah doesn't have much in the way of tradition, it seems like now would be a good time to break with the whole native american thing, which I doubt many people consider very cool anyway. I like the swoops, or even the hawks. Hell, even pirates would be better than utes.

If you were 17, would you rather play for the sleek and modern swoops or the old and strangely racist utes? While Oregon's uniforms are often displeasing to the eye, I bet they have played a role in making Oregon a recruiting powerhouse.
