I think we see Houston at guard. No reason to move Brown from center and no way the other Brown gets ousted at LT.

I think it also has to do with his draft stock being lower now than it was in August.Originally posted by Shaka View PostI'd wager the potential NFL lockout might have had something to do with his decision. I'm very happy to see him returning.

If he was going to be picked in the 1st - 3rd round, he is making a huge mistake by coming back.Originally posted by Surfah View PostThat is great news. I wonder what he heard from the draft committee. People were all over on him. Kiper has him as the best underclassman OT and late first round. McShay I think had him down in the 3rd round or lower. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Like others have speculated, the lockout may have something to do with it. And playing for Doman.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostIf he was going to be picked in the 1st - 3rd round, he is making a huge mistake by coming back.
Related, Famika is not transferring and will remain a Cougar. Apparently he doesn't think UA is a step up. Sorry HL."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

He only gave up one sack all year. So I think the W-L record has more to do with it than anything else. Seems that media is able to create hype around a guy and he didn't have it this year.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostIMO, injuries and a bad W-L record. Reynolds was gimpy most of the season.
(Also the one sack he gave up was against Florida State and it was one play after he was injured. ).*Banned*

On that note, maybe I WILL double up for Oxford and Austin.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

He isn't good enough to play for AZ which is why he is sticking around Provo.Originally posted by Surfah View PostLike others have speculated, the lockout may have something to do with it. And playing for Doman.

I don't think the W-L thing has anything to do with it. Jordan Gross was the 8th pick of the draft after Utah went 5-6 his senior year. He was also a finalist for the Lombardi award with a poor record.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostHe only gave up one sack all year. I think Matt might have gotten bad feedback from the NFL. I think Matt is an amazing Pass Blocker. I also think he could be even better because of his size. I thought Matt was at his best when he was a Freshman and about 20 pounds lighter than he is now. Matt also has health problems. Not so much in missing games but completing games. That kid was helped off the field many times the past two years by the training staff. Often times he wasn't able to make it through a game. I wonder if his weight had anything to do with it.
It is a good thing for BYU. They have a LT that is good enough to be playing in the NFL right now."Take it to the Bank"

I wish Matt the best this year. I also think the lockout is a reason why he will be back. Boom!
