Got it from two sources that QB coach Brandon Doman has been offered the vacant OC position at BYU. Is said to be hashing it over.

Doman is checking out his other options and whatnot. Not to worry, the firesides will win him over. It is all about the firesides!Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostDo Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I think they are thinking things over for as long as they need to to maximize the excitement of Ty's return to Provo. My guess is all this shit was coordinated by Jake Heaps' press secretary back in July 2009. It's all part of the master plan. The question is whether or not VegasUte will conclude it is all part of the master media conspiracy coordinated from the 22nd floor of the LDS COB just to keep Brandon Burton's NFL declaration on the 2nd page of all local newspapers.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI really don't know what this "thinking it over" is all about. Is this to quiet the anger of those who thought he has pulled off a power play for the job.

Didn't Gurney tweet that there's a meeting with the players tomorrow morning? The "thinking about it" answer allows an announcement to be delayed until the coaches meet with the players. If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

I think you misunderstood. Doman is currently smoking weed.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View Postyou don't hash it over, you mull it over. You hash it out. So is he hashing out the details of the contract or mulling over a offer? So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

If Doman doesn't want the gig, we could always upgrade to Darrell Bevell. I am not sure if he will be retained with the Vikings with Frasier taking over but the dude is a football junkie. Just not sure if he wants to coach college and also isn't a big BYU guy even though his wife's dad was a professor at the Y.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI have not seen him in Eugene, FWIW.

I talked to Norm over the weekend and he said he's tired of the grind. UT might be too much to pass up, but he definitely looked and sounded like he was done with coaching.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostMight as well throw this log onto the fire.
Word is that NoCho has left UCLA.
Very possible destination: Texas.

The grind sucks when you don't have a QB or reliable receivers.Originally posted by SipiTau View PostI talked to Norm over the weekend and he said he's tired of the grind. UT might be too much to pass up, but he definitely looked and sounded like he was done with coaching.
My guess is that UT would throw SC money at him but he would have to leave his Manahato Beach digs.
The biggest beneficiary in all of this is his son Carter, who pockets cash for basically doing who knows what as NoCho's agent.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
