Utah 2008 is probably not even the 2nd best of all of them.
lol the BCS computers and AP voters agree with me, and disgree with you, as you'll see when the 2010 season is over. 2008 Utah will remain the highest ranked by the computers and have received the most AP no. 1 votes of all time among non-AQs.

Maximus vs. AP/BCS computers. Who knows best?

      6) 2009 TCU. Lost.

#1's toughest regular season win was a 3-point win at home against a much poorer version of #6. Who else did they play?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

The AP and BCS rankings stand behind my ranking. The no. 1 spot is not debatable.

I know that you all would have loved a shot at the title. But look at everything that has happened as a result of beating up on worthless Pitt. Embrace that.

I'll take Sagarin over the AP voters or the screwy BCS formula. 2004 Utah is #4 (behind one of the most dominant teams we've seen in a while), 2008 Utah is #5 (after a really nice, but sort of fluky bowl win). Go by the Sagarin predictor and 2004 stays at #4, while 2008 drops to #10.

Answer the question, counselor. Who else did they play? How are you justifying your "toughest regular season" claim?

This is a silly game. What if BYU had lost to 6-5 Michigan in the 1984 Holiday Bowl? That's the kind of things rival fans fantasize about.

TCU is legit and should be recognized as such. They are definitely worthy to carry the torch BYU lit back in 1984.
Too bad BYU was 40 years late to the party when it came to winning a national title.

What happened in 1944 that relates to this discussion?

                      46 years, then.

What's silly? I didn't invent this game. Nor did I start it. You and others tonight have wished to have played a better schedule and BCS Bowl opponent.

I just don't understand why you guys wished for better competition in 2004. That undefeated season and BCS bowl win propelled your program to unprecedented heights.

The 04 Utah team was as good as any non-AQ team ever.
