Remember when this happened in Marc Wilson's big year in one of your pre-Christmas bowls, spoiling an undefeated season? When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

8-4 ACC team? The Humanitarian Bowl pits the WAC #1 verses the MAC...Originally posted by BoylenOver View Post
Hopefully Boise can get chosen as an at-large selection for a non-BCS bowl so they can play a good team. Winning 11 games, only to play an 8-4 ACC team on your own field, is not fair at all.
When it has a tie in with ACC, it was like the 7th place ACC team, so it would have been a 6-6 team....

Yes that is what I meant earlier in the thread where I said somewhere Matt Payne is smiling.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostSpeaking of which, any of you cougar fans feel a little deja vu last night? Remember when we had the huge comeback in Boise a few years ago only to have our uber-reliable kicker muff a chip-shot game-winner field goal at the end?

I believe that Crowton would still be the BYU HC had Payne made that FG. I think that would have had that team turn the corner and they would have beaten UNLV and New Mexico that year for I think would have been 8 wins.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostYes that is what I meant earlier in the thread where I said somewhere Matt Payne is smiling.Get confident, stupid

Ever.Brotzman — the leading scorer in Boise State and WAC history and soon the highest-scoring kicker in NCAA history — pushed a 26-yard field goal from the middle of the field wide right on the final play of regulation.

Michigan should be right in this game. I really think Rich Rod is lacking as a coach."In conclusion, let me give a shout-out to dirty sex. What a great thing it is" - Northwestcoug

TCU did it to Utah? What about Notre Dame?Originally posted by OrangeUte View PostI love it. Nevada sending Boise out of the WAC with a loss and a ruined season. Tcu did that to the UTES this year. Love it or hate it, college football really is an "any given Saturday" game. I love that the regular season is so important - each game matters and can be a do or die in many situations.
Maybe Utah isn't all they are cracked up to be."Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"

Not to mention they needed a hail mary touchdown and a stupid mistake/gift at the end of the game by a QB they had no clue how to stop in order to win at SDSU. One can't really compare the utes season with Boise. Boise competed in their loss.Originally posted by doctorcoug View PostTCU did it to Utah? What about Notre Dame?

Why that Nevada didn't just tackle the WR is beyond me. If he has you beat give them 15 yards, not the ball at the 5.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostNot to mention they needed a hail mary touchdown and a stupid mistake/gift at the end of the game by a QB they had no clue how to stop in order to win at SDSU.
