Preston Hadley. No other offers but an interesting prospect. He is allegedly a shutdown corner at the JC level. Good size and speed.
May be another Brian Logan or another Tico Pringle we will see.
My instinct is he strikes me as a plan b option. I was under the impression that BYU was pursuing a kid from Blinn. Perhaps BYU got the impression that they were not going to land the kid from Blinn. Another option might be that Lee Aguirre is not going to get elgible or perhaps one of the others is headed toward inelgibility. Supposedly, Joe Sampson is going to be in Provo in January and with the returning crew of Buckner, Eason, Everitt, Johnson and Gaines at CB along with Uale and Galai at safety, I would think 3 JC transfers (Blinn kid, Hadley and Sampson) would appear to me to be a bit of overkill unless some of the players listed as returners are not going to return.
Regardless I think it is a good move for BYU to be looking for 2-3 JC dbs every year or every other year.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I heard that Lee Aguirre posted on his facebook "So much for the NFL, I would be lucky if I made the CFL". Which a lot of people assumed meant he was done playing football so you may be correct.
Gaines is getting rave reviews on the scout team. Even Rich said Gaines and Jordan Johnson have the potential to be two of the best BYU has had in a long time. But they will still be RS fresh. next year. I think they are bringing in these JC guys to bridge the gap between the freshman and the guys leaving.
Which of those guys ends up at safety? Everett? An inexperienced Gray + Uale might not be pretty.
Goat's totally homeristic prediction:
Safeties: Blinn Kid, Sampson, Uale, Galai.
Corners: Everitt, Eason, Buckner and Hadley.
On the other hand I thought I might have read that the scout team corners were Gaines and Johnson, perhaps Everitt is already playing safety.
Are all these JC transfers coming to BYU for spring ball or is it going to be yet another August full of trepidation for the BYU faithful as we wonder what our defensive backfield will be.......I will say that whenever BYU opens with a real big time Big-12 opponent it is usually answered favorably. Good openings against the eyes of Texas, Sooners and aTm over the years! Actually, the worst performance for the defensive backfield in those openers happened to be the one that was by far BYU's best defensive backfield the rest of the year.

If Johnson and Gaines are playing CB on Scout Team my assumption is the JC recruiting is done and BYU is no longer pursuing the kid from Blinn. I think Everitt is likely been shifted to safety and the DB will consist of these 8 kids next year:
Or maybee Everitt sucks and is the back up CB on scout team and it will be:
Safeties: Uale, Galai, Sampson and Hadley
CBs: Eason, Buckner, Gaines and Johnson
Either way it looks better at this point in time than BYU did going into 2004, 2005 and 2008!

Johnson will still be in the program and is probably better than Uale has shown. Though if none of our talented young DBs are moved from CB to safety, i.e. Gaines/Johnson/Everett I will be very dissapointed.

I hope Aguirre isn't done. I think he could really help them next year.
Any chance Garrett Nicholson gets back in school? When is Cameron Comer due back?
I read Hadley had offers from Kent State, Wazzu and NMSU. He did have a few options
