I know! We should put him at Tight End!Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostI am with Indy's opinion of what his contributions will be, but I don't think his God given quickness is the issue. The guy has absolutely no clue what he is doing on the field. I doubt he gets enough clues to take advantage of his God given abilities before his elgibility is exhaused.
I would not expect much from him. That is my wife's motto and it has led her to 14 years of marital bliss!

TCU softened up UNLV for you.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostBYUs defense is giving up an average of 242 yards per game since Bronco took over the D-coordinator duties.
To compare like opponents to our brothers up north who are considered to have a top notch defense:
BYU Utah
TCU: 381 558
Wyo: 173 183
UNLV: 144 319
To say this defense has not improved leaps and bounds would be very ignorant. 70 of UNLVs total yards came on that last drive with no time left when BYU emptied the bench playing an African immigrant that did not know how to put his own pads on, a walk on from Riverton that did not even play high school football, as well as several polynesian players whose names did not fit on their jerseys.

I have a Primary activity which I can't miss on Saturday. I hope my absence is also a good omen.Originally posted by TheBYUGuy View PostBYU is 4-0 this season when I watch the game live-ish (delayed by not more than 30 minutes) at home.
They are 0-5 otherwise.

Probably. If he had worked out his hands issues, which he likely would have by now. He's a stud on D. But TE's a very important position for BYU and we don't have one right now.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostRandom thought would BYU be better off with Vic So'oto at TE this year than we would be with him playing D-end?

Can Vic catch the ball?Originally posted by Sizzle View PostYes, especially if Matangi Tonga were still around.
Also, Vic has had some really nice games for us on D since the Bronco take over. Not sure we would want to disrupt that balance by switching him to offense.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Yes he can. According to PAC-10 officials, he just can't hold onto the ball. Even in the south endzone of the Rose Bowl I could see that his knee was down.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostCan Vic catch the ball?

But I'm not bitter.

Early on in his career he was an absolute beast of a blocker at the TE spot. He had decent hands too. He showed off his hands this year with his INT. At this point it would be foolish to consider a switch, and I don't think anybody is advocating that. I do think that they are saying Vic would have helped a lot of the issues we had at TE (or TE lack of a consistent TE) had he stayed there all along.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostCan Vic catch the ball?

FWIW, I think the decision to move him when they did was TE right one. Vic has been great this past year on D.
