There are a lot of things I chuckle at that don't bother me in the least.

Listening to the self-affirming rants of Provo Pete is one of those things.

I hereby withdraw my comments. What is the fine for failing to read the first post in a thread, and to whom do I pay it?

BTW, I trust that going forward, you all will strictly observe the (apparently) ironclad rule that a thread originator can bar certain groups from posting in his or her thread. I plan to invoke that rule often.

            I posted in this thread.

            But I didn't answer the poll-question.

A while back on local radio they were saying BYU outdraws Utah 2:1 in local TV ratings.

I wonder if more people will watch the Utah game than the BYU game within the state of Utah on Saturday? That would be quite a feat. Good job Utah.

What makes those numbers even more shocking is that many of the TV viewers are actually turncoat BYU fans, not Ute fans.

I was chided recently for not knowing anything about the Crimson Club, yet no figures were provided to refute my claims. From what I understand, the Ute alum/donor base is not represented in the same sort of geographic diversity as that of BYU...or anywhere close to it. Local Crimson Club chapters around the US&A are scattered and not well organized. Even in traditional LDS strongholds like SoCal, NorCal, LV and Arizona their numbers are allegedly a fraction of Cougar Club numbers. Ute alum stick close to Utah and they don't attend games or watch on TV in droves.

Your 2:1 ratio seems about right to me. Do any of you Crimson Clubbers know about the numbers/demographic strongholds of the Ute alum/donor base?

Of course you care. You posted about it. Simple deduction skills at work.

P.S. I care about the Utah-TCU game and guess what: my head isn't going to explode as a result.

P.P.S. When your rival's team is at or near an all-time low and your favorite team is in the top 5 taking on another top 5 opponent with possible BCS Championship implications, you need not feel insecure.

The poll is a little skewed as surely some Ute fans voted for cheering for Utah and its not a public poll so we can't tell.

I voted for TCU so that should offset one of them. Poll is still valid.

This thread was created out of respect and consideration for Ute fans. We wanted to talk about the game without messing up your Frogs/Utes thread, plus we already know who Ute fans want to win. Whatever input a Ute fan would have on the topic would be uninteresting and boring. But LA Ute just couldn't leave well enough alone. He really can't stand the idea that somewhere there is a conversation occurring without his input. The horror!
