I think he disavowed BYU, though it's hard to imagine that you aren't following everything he types closely so it's possible I just wished it to be so.

I thought BYU played at Central Florida next year.

Admittedly, byu is stuck with all crappy teams on the home schedule.

UTES walked into a great situation joining a conference, scheduling wise. Cougs will take some time but I would expect the byu home schedule to be exciting and comparable in 3-4 years. Both should play more competitive overall schedules by 2013. UTES will next year.

Both ute fans and coug fans should be excited.

Maybe Oregon can be Oct. 1 instead since that was supposed to be ASU. Then I could come down and catch BYU on Friday and the Ducks on Saturday.
Oregon should have to come to SLC first, but I was never under the impression that the date would stay the same. On paper, Utah-Oregon would be at/near the top of the tote board in putting forth odds on the first Pac-10 title game, so it would seem that having such a game would be better if it were held earlier rather than later.

In a meeting I was in about a month ago, Chris Hill said Utah's first home PAC12 game would be USC. He did say that was still subject to confirmation, although he said it was pretty well set. FWIW.

BYU has it easy next year. One PAC10 team (we typically win those at home) and a bunch of patsies from a no-name conference.

Yeah I think it would be in SLC, that was why I was hoping for the GC weekend game.
