  • Big 12 Championship

The Big 12 has pretty much been rendered irrelevant this year, but I'm curious who you guys think will play/win the conference championship game.

I was thinking Oklahoma had a pretty good shot until I found out that this year the championship game has been moved to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

    Texas vs. Nebraska

Nebraska will beat Missouri because SU said so.

Oklahoma will lose to either Baylor or Oklahoma State. They will also drop one game against one of the Big 12 bottom feeders (Colorado, A&M, or Tech) just to help Texas feel better.

Texas will beat Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M but lose to Florida Atlantic at home. Texas can only lose to bad teams at home and A&M is not a bad team. They are awful team.

Edit: And Texas will win the Big 12 championship of course.

what a coincidence that this is exactly the scenario the Austin sports commentators predicted (except without the reference to SeattleUte).

No way. OU doesn't choke until the bowl game.

How long can the B12 pretend to not want a championship game immediately? I think that this season's parity in the conference will actually hasten the decision to expand back to 12.

I'm thinking the same thing. I am also thinking, good hell BYU is going to have some brutal schedules once they join the Big 12.

                Oklahoma vs. Nebraska

Traditional Big 8 game as a final send off.

I guess it would be nice if Oklahoma got to smack the children of the corn just one more time. Texas has already had its turn this year.

That would be OU typically style but they have already lost a game.

But not against a crappy team. At home.

What makes a team crappy? This subject would be a great thread!

The WCC commissioner already said that BYU told him that they were not going anywhere and that they were in it for the long haul. BYU will turn down the Big 12. The Big 12 will end up inviting Wyoming and New Mexico.

I don't see why not. The B12 would OWN the Wyo and NM markets if they did that.
