Because listening ears have been concerned with different things at different times. If you think you're ever getting the complete executive summary of what goes on the practice field or behind closed doors, you are deluding yourself.

It changed their behavior for how long? How has it translated into Saturday production?Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostSomething changed their behavior. I wonder why that something wasn't done earlier, whatever it was.

I guess I'm most interested in understanding how this affects Anae. Does he see this as a slight to his ego or does he take it as a coordinator should? Like you have all mentioned, if this is new from Bronco does this mean the riot act was also read directly or indirectly to Anae?"Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

any info leaking is now a complete executive summary. I see.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostBecause listening ears have been concerned with different things at different times. This event was so dramatic it was leaking from everywhere. If something beyond non-standard practice yelling like this had happened before word would have leaked or we'd start hearing about how this wasn't the first time.

Yes, I thought about listing that, but figured I'd leave it alone since there were other threads already dedicated to Anae.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostI guess I'm most interested in understanding how this affects Anae. With as much as people have been wondering WTH is wrong with the receivers this year, my guess is that we would have heard about something like this if it had happened already.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostBecause listening ears have been concerned with different things at different times. The quote clearly states that it didn't happen earlier. Given our limited insight into these matters, there is reason to take such quotes at face value. Unless you have anything to contradict the quote, there's no reason to think it happened earlier.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostExactly. Asking why it didn't happen before would imply that you know for a fact that it hasn't.

I know some pretty explosive stuff going on that hasn't been reported anywhere, so just because it is dramatic doesn't mean it's going to "leak from everywhere."Originally posted by DapperDan View Postany info leaking is now a complete executive summary. I see.

Bronco said they weren't giving 100% before, now they are.
Why didn't someone get them to give 100% sooner? That's how I interpreted MGs question. And it is a great question.
Indy seems to be asking "How do you know someone didn't yell at them earlier." To me, that question is unimportant. The important thing is getting them to give the effort. According to Bronco, they weren't before, they are now...in practice. Lets see what happens in the games.

If all it takes to make things better is yelling at your players, Y'zGuy would be in the coaching Hall of Fame.

I'm glad that Bronco has decided to implement all these radical changes....he has broadened his focus and now attends meetings for offense and defense, he has decided that players will be accountable for lack of effort and focus, he has now chastised the WR and TE for under-performing. Looks like nothing gets past Bronco. He has noticed that the players weren't giving 100% and things are going to change now.
These are all great signs. Good job, Bronco.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

It is funny how excited we get when we hear the gentle Bronco doing normal coachy stuff. Such is the life of a BYU fan.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI'm glad that Bronco has decided to implement all these radical changes....he has broadened his focus and now attends meetings for offense and defense, he has decided that players will be accountable for lack of effort and focus, he has now chastised the WR and TE for under-performing.
