I'm not completely giving up on the run. With smash mouth running it's not unusual to get most of the yards in the second half when the D is tired. Still, that creates only a small thread of hope for me.

Credit to BYU's defense, they're hanging around. The Frogs look prepared for everything the Cougar offense is running, though.

The screen pass was Heaps' fault. The tackle wasn't supposed to let his guy through and had him outside, but Heaps also went outside and gave the DE a straight shot at him, resulting in a bad throw.

If we can't get some sort of offense, we can't win this game in my view. Our defense is really doing a great job so far, but we need to put points on the board somehow.

With the size of our line, we can play it with you. It's the blockers that wear the D down, imo. I didn't say I was optimistic, just that I hadn't given up on the run yet.

If we would have had a defense during Air Force and won that game, this season is completely different. I don't think I can overstate how much of this season is Hill's fault (shared fault, but fault nonetheless).
