Looks like they have bought out Iowa St. and instead will replace them with Montan St.

Serious question was Montana St in the old Skyline conference? It says Utah has played them 9 times. That seems like a lot for a 1-AA team.

For 20 years, Utah and Montana State were in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. But only one of the four games between the schools that were conference games was played in Bozeman.

          Makes more sense. Thanks.

Is it Montana or Montana State? Because to be fair, if it is Montana, they are probably a tougher game than Iowa State...

I interviewed a PA from Montana last week and asked him how long before Montana was D-1a. He said that both Montana St. and Montana were in the process of upgrading to meet requirements and would likely be ready if/when the WAC came calling.

I believe Iowa St. wanted to push the game back because of their big 12 scheduling next year, but that might have been before CU was allowed to leave for 2011.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

No, ISU bought out their return game due to the Big 12 playing 9 conference games starting next year. Given that we will be playing 9 conference games next year as well, we were happy to take their money. Rumor is that we are buying out 2011 game against Boise St.(not sure on 2012 and 2013). to ensure the rivalry game can be played next year at LES.

I was stating them for those who don't read the same rumors.

Have you heard anything about 2012 and 2013 with Boise? I would like to see those games stay.

I always figured we were bumping the Boise series back a year, but I don't know for sure. I would definitely make that drive if we still play them.

Absolutely. Utah could have one of the most difficult SOS next year in the country. Seeing how Utes deal with final 5 games of this season will be good indication of mental toughness and ability to handle PAC10 schedule.

In an article on the Iowa St. game in the des news, the following was thrown in at the end:

The Utes are expected to play nine league games and non-conference games against Pitt, BYU and Montana State.

So the Utes dropped Boise from the schedule. What a bunch of chickens.
