That's like saying you'd rather win the National Championship than be the winner of a BCS game. DUH. What idiot wouldn't?

    Oh. Never mind.

Actually it seems like this thread is about whose situation is better.

We're counting on Larry Scott to improve that.

Speaking of bad times, anyone else find it odd that the MWC's two biggest draws kicked off at the same time for their conference opener? I don't think anyone at Utah or AFA would've complained about a 7 p.m. MT start.

And UNM-Texas Tech is the prime time game on The Mtn., and the league's top PBP-color man were sent to broadcast it?

Plenty about the Mtn. screams small-time, but do you need to give the impression overtly by having your top broadcast team doing a game of a team that lost by 72 points the week before?

Exactly, that is the core of this thread started by cougjunkie. He is reaching in every way he can to show how BYU being independent is a better situation than Utah being in the Pac-10.

I did not want to embarrass the rest of your schedule, also BYU is only playing those WAC schools in 2011 and 2012. Its kind of the equivalent of Utah paying to play in the Pac-10, it is only temporary (at least you hope).

We can compare those WAC schools with the rest of Utahs schedule and it would not be as bad as you think, I mean New Mexico St and La. Tech have twice as many wins as Washington St and Colorado over the past 5 years.

Utah St will be equivalent to the 1-AA school Utah starts to schedule every year.

Arizona and San Jose St. must be pretty close with all the hype Ute fans gave SJSU last year. We can search the archives on this very board and see numerous posts about how SJSU is a damn good team.

Pretty comparable except the top of our schedule is much better than yours especially with USC going in the shitter.

I wonder what Junkie would be saying had BYU stayed in the MWC. Something quite clever, I'm sure.

Not that I think you are ready to know much about the P10, Oregon can't ever cover at mighty Knoxville, Tennessee! Only teams like Alabama and Florida can do that, right? When you are wrong so often you make the other side of the argument seem right no matter what it is.

Normally, I don't watch PAC-10 teams, unless there is something compelling to watch for (Gerhard was a treat to watch last season). But last night, I felt compelled to watch as much of the Oregon/Stanford/UCLA/USC games as I could last night.

I have to admit, the games were better than any UNLV/Wyoming or CSU/New Mexico game I ever had the poor judgement of attempting to watch in the past.

Regardless of situation, or person for that matter, it would certainly be more clever than anything you have posted.

You should do as the emoticon suggests and just sit back and let the clever ones do their work. That way I don't have to see your uber funny avatar from 2003.

Big chalk went 3-3 in the games mentioned there, and my picks went 1-2. The theory still holds -- it's tough to be a winner when you take so many huge favorites on the road.

Anyone can be complimentary after the fact. We weren't talking about big chalk anyway. We were talking about how you don't really know anything about the Pac 10, and how you don't know you keep calling it a reverse window as the hammer for your point when that isn't even what it is called.

By the way you must not have listened to the press conference (which I find hard to believe) no mid week games, occassional Thursday night primetime games but the majority will be on Saturdays.

                            Enjoy Fox Sports Pullman!
You probably believed all the nonsense that was fed to MWC regarding CSTV/mtn, too.

Did you enjoy watching BYU's game in prime-time today on Versus?

I haven't kept up with all the goings ons with the future BYU schedule, so I Googled it up. Here's the non-WAC schedule that is posted so far:

                              2011: @Oregon St, @Texas, UCF
                              2012: Oregon St, @Boise St,
                              2013: Boise St, Texas
                              2014: @UCF, @Boise St, @Texas
                              2015: Boise St

Still a lot of games to fill out.

We can compare those WAC schools with the rest of Utahs schedule and it would not be as bad as you think, I mean New Mexico St and La. Tech have twice as many wins as Washington St and Colorado over the past 5 years.

Now why you gotta be mean and pick on the Aggies like that. You're blind if you haven't noticed that they're much improved this year. They're at least as good as New Mexico St and La Tech, which, by your argument, puts them 8th in the PAC-12.

Pretty comparable except the top of our schedule is much better than yours especially with USC going in the shitter.
Do you really expect USC to stay down for more than 3-5 years? Kiffin will be gone long before then, and Oregon is looking pretty damn good too. You are basically arguing that both of them will be worse than Boise St? Which side of the Boise St fence are you on?
