Even though Riley probably played better than Heaps last week, statistically speaking, AFA is probably used to playing against running QBs, since that's what they see whenever they play their 1s against each other. With injuries in the Falcon defensive backfield, Heaps might be better able to exploit glaring weaknesses.

They're not used to seeing QB's running behind 6'5 320 lb linemen.Originally posted by All-American View PostEven though Riley probably played better than Heaps last week, statistically speaking, AFA is probably used to playing against running QBs, since that's what they see whenever they play their 1s against each other. I love the alternating series for now. They keep it through FSU.

What if it doesn't ever break?Originally posted by All-American View Post. . . wait for it to break?
I think that by going two QBs from Day One, you're conceding that there will eventually come a game where it's clear it doesn't work. Then, with game film as evidence and not simply intra-squad scrimmages, it's a lot easier to decide between 1 and 1A, and come to a solid decision on 1 and 2.

"Alternate series" is not a valid answer to the question of who should start. Even if you alternate every single series, somebody HAS to start and and "alternate series" doesn't answer that question.
You need to replace "alternate series" with two options:
Nelson starts and alternate series
Heaps starts and alternate series
Thus, I voted for "Nelson and bring in Heaps for select situations" because it was the closest answer to "Nelson starts and alternate series".
