  • Nelson's play action fake

I watched the UW game with a good friend of mine who watches much more college and pro football than I do. He immediately mentioned that Nelson's play action hand off fake was very good, stating that Nelson brought the ball back to his body first and then brought back his empty hand so that it looks like he actually gave the ball up to the RB. My friend said Nelson's hand off looked a lot like Peyton Manning's.

Sounded convincing to me. I didn't see Heaps run the play action (he may have, but not much) so I couldn't compare the two. Did anyone else pay attention to this? Or does everyone hand off that way?

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I was impressed with both QB's fakes. Heaps does a nice job on the pump fake, turn the other way or hand off the other way play. Locker did it half heartedly and he might as well have not done it. Locker for Heisman and/or first player in the draft is a joke.

I saw Heaps take the snap under center, take a step, look immediately to his left, fake a throw to the WR, and then hand off to Di Luigi. The whole thing looked awkward and the fake was less than effective. I hope they don't run that play.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I do remember a couple of fakes from Nelson that were very impressive. Cameras got faked out for a while, as did the players.

The mtn. is the worst. Those guys get lost all the time. Hopefully it'll be a decent crew in Colorado Springs these weekend.
