    Oh man, Larry Scott is going to be so pissed when he finds out Arizona ignored his mandate to blacklist BYU from PAC-12 football schedules.

            I'd prefer we be in the Big 12. But that's beside the point. As a season ticket holder, at this point I just want us to have some fun games at home so that this year isn't our watershed year with regards to that. That's my biggest complaint about independence, the home schedule.

              Well, no, I'm sure they can do better than what you suggested. And no, going back to the MWC is never the best option.

                I too and sure they can get "better" than what he listed. But I am also sure that 3 of the home games are always going to look like the list he gave. And the other teams are going to be bottom half teams in other BCS leagues.

                Top half teams don't have to travel to us.

                HHN is going to be how it looks in the future. And I am pretty sure our Home game is always going to be the last one, and I am fairly sure it is going to get bought out 50% of the time.

                  I'm trying to weight how much of your comment here comes from what you believe is best for BYU and how much of it comes from what you would like to see happen as a fan of BSU/MWC.

                    I would love to see BYU and BSU in the same conference so I'm sure that sways my option some but I've also been a lifelong BYU and grew up with the traditional rivalries. You can dump on Wyoming and New Mexico all you want but those games still look more attractive than bringing in Idaho or Idaho State. I believe that the MWC could develop into a really good football conference.

                      I was hassling you - but truth be told, I enjoy the old rivalries of the MWC too. Wyoming, CSU, AFA, SDSU, even UNM. I would've loved to keep TCU and UU on board with BSU joining. Unfortunately they got a better offer (I certainly don't blame them for leaving.)

                      I don't mind independence. They've played some good games, and I'm not one to beat the dead horse about schedules (I don't know that there is a huge difference between the bottom of the MWC now and playing Idaho - so I don't worry about it.) All that aside - I do generally like the idea of a conference. And no one's knocking down BYU's door to get them to join. But I don't think independence has been all that bad either.

                            Dr. Chris Hill put out a Youtube announcement today saying the two schools are close to signing a contract on a two-game series for 2017 and 2018. The 2017 game would be played in September and the 2018 game as the last game of the year.

                              I'm glad they're getting something done, but I'd really just like to see them schedule a six game series. I'm tired of begging for table scraps from Utah.
