This is SUs way of saying that he is scared shitless of Heaps potential. Wait until he starts trying to compare him to Wynn.

I still haven't seen the game on TV, but it seems like that (potential) TD pass to the TE from Heaps was a really poorly thrown ball on a fairly easy throw, no?
(At least that's what it looked like from the opposite end zone....)
EDIT: I might be thinking of a different throw. This one was in the North endzone and was to either a back or the TE on a little out pattern to the left. Like I said, I had about the worst seat to see that one and I haven't had a chance to watch it on TV yet.Last edited by ERCougar; 09-07-2010, 08:41 AM.At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

I've watched the replay a couple times now. My take would be that Heaps zipped it in there like is very common throwing to a TE in short yardage situation and Wilson should have caught the ball. Wilson stretched but had both hands on it. You don't baby a pass in to a TE in short yardage.Originally posted by ERCougar View PostI still haven't seen the game on TV, but it seems like that (potential) TD pass to the TE from Heaps was a really poorly thrown ball on a fairly easy throw, no?

If I recall correctly, Heaps had two drives, and Nelson one, cut short by drops.Originally posted by jay santos View PostHeaps had a TD pass dropped by a frosh TE. Pitta makes the catch 99% of the time. He was on a roll in the 2nd half and had two drives cut shorts by drops (or was one of those drives Nelson? can't remember).τὸν ἥλιον ἀνατέλλοντα πλείονες ἢ δυόμενον προσκυνοῦσιν

Heaps really should have gotten into the endzone. DiLuigi almost got in on a Heaps pass, too, but that drive stalled thanks to some brilliant up the gut running right into the pile on consecutive downs and then the drop.Originally posted by All-American View PostIf I recall correctly, Heaps had two drives, and Nelson one, cut short by drops."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch!
