Incredible that nobody left the stadium in a 44-13 blowout. Our fans a special. Incredible actually.

Stadium was rocking. So much fun.

I was in attendance, seated in section 46 next to the students. I bought those seats specifically so that I would be closer to fans that wanted to cheer on the team. When I was at the Stanford game, I was seated behind a family that was only there to watch their Cougarette daughter and acted as if the game were getting in the way. Despite my attempts to avoid the issue, some stick-in-the-mud "fan" several rows behind us kept yelling "sit down!" One time he even yelled it during a time out. I turned around and asked "why?" He said "so we can see the game!" I asked "what game??" It was a freaking time-out.

I probably sound like I'm complaining (because I am), but I'm only complaining because it was so fun to be involved in the game and cheering and this dude needs to get on board!

Also, do we all agree that it was Harline (or Shaka) in the 80s Cosmo costume playing the guitar? Not sure who told him to keep the gloves on. His National Anthem was pretty awesome though.

I've had occasion to sit in the President's booth for a game or two. I thought I was in real trouble when I saw that I would be sitting next to Elder L. Tom Perry. Turns out he was as rowdy as anybody.

I don’t mind stander-uppers on a few big plays (TDs, a really big third down, etc) but if you are not in the student section and you think you need to stand in front of me on every single play because you are a “true fan”, then you can buzz right off and you will definitely hear about it from me.

Fortunately, mean old geezers like me typically have more disposable income than younger stander-uppers (who, let’s face it, are really just wannabe jock sniffers desperately trying to cling to some vestige of their youth even though their hairline and belt line would indicate that their youth is a distant relic of the past) so we can afford the pricier seats and it generally keeps the riffraff out of our sections. If someone is being a deliberate jerk and standing even though the people behind are asking them not to, geezers like me won’t hesitate to call the usher in our section.

That's why I didn't buy in the West Stands where all the geezers pop their knees when they get up to use the restroom in the 1st, 2nd, half-time, 3rd, and 4th quarters.

Seriously, can you imagine people telling others to be less excited about the team at a sporting event? Especially a team in CFP contention? Fans like me won't hesitate to stand up and cheer on the team whenever necessary, regardless of down. Standing isn't being "a deliberate jerk" lol. Do you also get upset when the crowd gets too loud? Maybe its time to use some of that disposable income and buy a nicer tv so that no one will interrupt your viewing experience.

I just ask that you decide to stand BEFORE the play starts so I can too instead of halfway through so I end up missing what happens on the field.

I thought everyone knew that, but maybe it wasn't as obvious in your time as mine. I loved L Tom because he was VERY regularly on the front row at basketball games when I was a student, and he was always standing up, gesticulating, and very animated (BFM would have HATED him).
