BYU's track and field team is in limbo since the WCC does not host track and field teams. Since Utah doesn't have a T&F team and they need one to be in the PAC-12, why don't we just join the PAC-12 in that sport only and fill that slot for them? That way they don't have to start up a team from scratch and get embarrassed for years. Win-Win.

Not a bad idea. It's a shame that the PAC-12 hates Mormons; otherwise, it would work.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBYU's track and field team is in limbo since the WCC does not host track and field teams. We wouldn't want the track team at BYU to one up the football team would we?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBYU's track and field team is in limbo since the WCC does not host track and field teams. It wouldn't be the first time something like that happened, not even for the Pac-10, which has SDSU as a member for men's soccer and Boise State for wrestling. You've got some very strange conference arrangements in many of the Olympic sports. There are others.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBYU's track and field team is in limbo since the WCC does not host track and field teams. You know, all kidding and student-body size aside, culture wise the bYu fits really nicely into the WCC. Of course, most of those Jesuits are quite secular, but they at least understand religion in an instutiton of learning.Originally posted by Babs View PostIt's the CULTure.Last edited by creekster; 09-01-2010, 05:05 PM.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Apparently the east coast Jesuits at Georgetown have a more diffiCULT time in CUL(T)cating their students with this concept. And those same students a habit of being absent when news that displeases them is announced.Originally posted by creekster View PostYou know, all kidding and student-body size aside, culture wise the bYu fits really nicely into the WCC. Where would they train? If at BYU then this is a good idea given the exceptional facilities. If at Utah then it sucks since I doubt many college level athletes would want to train at East High School with a bunch of high school wannabe tracksters.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBYU's track and field team is in limbo since the WCC does not host track and field teams.
