    The Independent to Big 12 to SEC Groundswell

    Groundswelling is the new Watergating.

    I see the Big 12 as a stepping stone to the SEC and eventually the NFL.

      NFL?!?!?!?

      I think no-Sunday play will be a big hurtle, but BYU's brand is so strong that the NFL may make concessions. But that's still a few years down the road.

      Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

          You laugh, but I heard the Steelers are thinking about going independent and the NFL will need a replacement to keep their championship game.

              Superbowl or NCAA Football Championship game at the backend of a 4 game playoff? I'll guarantteeya that in Kanzas the Jayhawks in that game would put more fannies on the couch in front of the tube than the Chiefs in the Superbowl.

                  Obviously the ESPN would only schedule BYU for Monday Nights.
