Apples to oranges. My list of schools was restricted to schools from non-AQ conferences. Those are the programs that BYU is mostly competing against in terms of national relevancy in college football.

I didn't include Hawaii because they've had some really bad seasons in the BCS era to go along with one BCS bid in which it was totally outclassed.

How do you figure based on this thread, Il Pad?

It's a good thing college football started in 2004 then right?

        Team A

        2005 4th place
        2006 3rd place
        2007 4th place
        2009 3rd place

        Hawaii

        2005 5th place
        2006 2nd place
        2008 4th place
        2009 5th place

Great argument. Hawaii is Utah's equal.

Stop it already. Hawaii has one winless SEASON in the BCS era, and two 3-9 marks. Finishing 5th in the WAC is equal to finishing 7th or worse in the MWC. And remind me who has the nation's longest bowl winning streak? While you're at it, who was the team that allowed the team with the nation's longest bowl losing streak to finally get a bowl win?

Total wins trumps conference finish. In that event, Utah was 2nd in the MWC in both 2005 and 2007.
