I agree. He can be spectacular at times. But I seem to remember at least 3 or 4 head-scratching drops. High ceiling for him but he needs to be consistent.

Lassiter's a great weapon but he needs to clean it up.

My biggest concern is Daniels. He can run and throw, and that has been a bit of a struggle for our D against several opponents this year (including our closest games--SMU, Baylor, Okie St., and Utah)

Our offensive scheme hasn't changed significantly since Grimes was here, so I have a little concern there.
In only one of those games did Jay Hill know for certain which QB he'd be scheming against and that was Baylor. In the OSU and Utah games, even getting hints at who it would be were unhelpful as there was little to no game film on either. At the time BYU played Baylor, Sawyer Robertson had 2 real games of film as a starter (I don't count Air Force).

I'm not an expert or anything, but people who do know more about defense--like Hans Olsen--say that we pick up so many turnovers because we confuse offenses, hide our coverage in a manner that is reminiscent of the pros, and have more field smarts than the average team. Vegas has us at -3.5 and I'd take that in a heartbeat.

That’s a good source. But I’ll believe it when I see it.

Pretty sure Keim had surgery today.

Houston knocked off KSU. And the second biggest surprise in the B12 is ASU. Leavitt can sling it. Skattebo is a one-man wrecking crew.

    And we’re down 2-3 o-linemen.

Skattebo is so fun to watch. Runs with pure purpose and violent intent.
