I like Oregon's aggression. There offense is pure moxie and it's fun to watch.

Same with Oklahoma and Auburn. This is why I maintain that Boise State and TCU/Utah will be the only two undefeated teams at the end of the season.Originally posted by nikuman View PostI'm not sold on Oregon yet (sorry HFNW). The offense is amazing. The defense needs to toughen up.
BTW, why doesn't UCLA just run it up the middle every time? That 3rd and short call was horrible on UCLA's last drive."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

I really wish that Josh Huff had stuck with the Utes, but you can't blame him for wanting to play for Chip Kelly's offense. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

The defense doesn't worry me that much. With the pace that they play on offense and the way that the Ducks wear people down, I don't see the defense costing them a game. It is good enough.Originally posted by nikuman View PostI'm not sold on Oregon yet (sorry HFNW). The offense is amazing. The defense needs to toughen up.
It will just be a matter of time before the UCLA players start faking injuries to slow the Ducks down, just like Stanford did.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

I'm not sold on Utah yet because they haven't played anybody. BSU won't play anybody for the rest of the season, so I agree there.Originally posted by Surfah View PostSame with Oklahoma and Auburn. I think Oregon has a good shot at it too, though. I am not sold on them being a dominant #1 because of the defense, but their offense is so amazing that it may not matter.
Oklahoma is interesting. I wonder.
Neither LSU or Auburn will finish undefeated. LSU will beat Auburn and then do something stupid. Or vice versa.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Ducks are going to get the ball back with over 2 minutes left. They are going to score another TD to keep that 1 point per minute thing going. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

As far as betting this game, I thought you go with UCLA +24 and the under OR Oregon -24 and the over.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostDucks are going to get the ball back with over 2 minutes left. They are going to score another TD to keep that 1 point per minute thing going.
I was pretty confident that Oregon would win by at least 24. The over-under was 60.5, and I didn't think UCLA would score much, so that had me a little bit worried.
Turns out that Oregon can probably get to 60 all by themselves. But they will probably take the foot off the gas pedal in the second half.

No need to apologize Niku, I'm not sure the D can hold up all season either. They are great in the second half all year, 13 points to date I think.
I do know this is the best Oregon team in my 10 years here and the offense is legit. Whatever happens it has already been a great ride and I'm going to enjoy the rest of it win or lose. I can honestly say I never really expected them to be #1, the journey has been awesome.
I love Chip and his dolphin-esque brain.
UCLA is really bad, and don't look ver interested on the sideline. Guys looking into the stands, walking away from coaches.Get confident, stupid

I will say I'm not second-guessing their #1 ranking. They're as good as anybody. The most amazing offense I've ever seen, including the Gary Crowton 2001 shitfest that turned out to be awesome only because our glass-boned running back hadn't crashed, smashed and tinkled yet.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostNo need to apologize Niku, I'm not sure the D can hold up all season either. x2. Oregon is a lot of fun to watch on offense. I am convinced that Oregon can be run on. The only hope to beating them would be for a team to just grind it out on the ground and win TOP to keep that offense off the field. Though Oregon doesn't need much time to put up 7. I love their hurry up.Originally posted by nikuman View PostI will say I'm not second-guessing their #1 ranking. They're as good as anybody.
