Good analogy. I'd much rather play pinball than chess.

By coming to a thread dedicated to the Oregon Ducks, with people discussing Stanford-Oregon, and injecting Boise St into the discussion, you really showed us "haters".

What a game! LMJ is special and DT is getting there. Luck is a very good QB and I hope he is smart enough to take $40 mill and be the #1 pick next year.

Oregon is better than they were 5 games into last season by a long ways, still 7 left to go. That was the second best atmosphere Autzen has ever had, last years Civil War only slightly topped it.

It is not an easy call when your on the other side of the coin, is it?
I haven't seen the play other than live and the replay in the stadium which wasn't a great angle. I will always say that at best a helmet to helmet shot can be considered a bad play, but more often than not players know what they are doing and leading with your head is a dirty way to play football. If Lewis was leading with his head into Owusu then it was a dirty play and Lewis should have sat down the rest of the game.

Owusu was the ball carrier and not an off balance player without the ball that had just been pushed in the back by another player, but

Is there anything funnier than dabrockburger calling out the "haters" the guy is nothing if not a hater. He once challenge me to a fight on CB because Oregon decided to cancel rasslin'. The guy is an Oregon hater and it is no wonder he loves BSU they are good, he loves teams that win. Had Stanford won tonight he would have probably bought a Cardinal shirt. Guys like dabrockburger are haters, that is what they do. They listen to what someone tells them they are supposed to hate and hate on it. He would never be willing to say that a BSU, Ohio State, BYU, other team he loves currently ranked in the top 10, player did something bad only that someone from the hated teams did something bad.

I don't hate BSU. They are a damn good football team. I have no problem saying someone from my team did something stupid or wrong. I have called out Blount, Masoli and others that I cheer for. Did Lewis make a dirty play tonight? If you are saying it was a head to head hit on a defenseless guy like the BSU/Rodgers hit, then hell yes he did. One play doesn't define a player, and guys can make dirty plays and great plays in the same year.

Yes. Many things are funnier than that. I really don't think it's fair to call dabrockstar a hater. It seems like he bandwagons half the teams in CFB.

It was a great game. I agree that Luck is very good and I hope he does get out of the Pac-10. I don't want to face him as a Ute fan.

Oregon is a great team. Chip Kelly is one of the best offensive coaches in college football. I'm amazed that they can keep up the pace they play at. It was hilarious when the Stanford player had to fake an injury to try to slow them down. It is fun watching a team knowing that even if they are down 3 TDs that the game is not over. 3 TDs is like being down 10 points for most over teams.

Oh and who needs Jeremiah Masoli.

                    • I just saw a replay of the hit that injured Owusu. Wasn't even close to dirty. Owusu got tripped up by a defender, tried to keep his footing as long as possible, and when the Oregon defender tackled him Owusu's head was in his chest.

It makes dabrock and FN's posts in this thread look really pathetic.

I agree the 2 plays are not even comparable.

Sure they are. Neither were dirty.

                            The Boise hit was dirty.

Speaking of dirty plays, has anyone seen the video of the BYU player trying to snap the USU RBs leg well after the play was over and both were on the ground?

One was a hit on the ball carrier when he was falling down. The other was a hit on a player who was away from the ball.

I have seen both and I don't really think that either was a dirty play, but the Boise St play was a little more iffy. The Boise St player might have been headhunting, but there is really no way to know for sure.
