Was it Wakely with that unsportsmanlike conduct penalty? WTF was he thinking? That's the textbook definition of taunting - getting right in the guy's face after the play. He didn't even make that great of a play - he was beat and fortunate the receiver didn't haul in the pass. What a boneheaded mistake to gift them a first down (leading to another touchdown). There is plenty of blame to go around, but man, Slovis is an average, maybe above average, G5 QB. For the past three weeks Jake Hatch has proclaimed how awesome Slovis is. I've been quietly worried about his play almost all season. This isn't a knee jerk reaction from me. I'm not calling for QB2, it just is what it is. OL and WRs aren't helping him any. But, I'm kinda glad he won't be around last season.
Similar to Slovis, I think our offense and entire team, had a very misleading season performance coming into this game. Yes, we were 4-1. 2 wins were cupcakes. In the other two wins we were vastly outgained. We can't think that we're going to win every game like that. My good friend took me. That was a lot of elevation gain,but the colors were beautiful. They do need a trail up to the top. That was too much bushwhacking for my liking. Maple Flat was nice too.
