Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I don't necessarily lose sleep over Utah winning, because f@$k em. But I'm fairly discouraged by the absolute domination they have with LDS recruits. It kind of is a sum zero game in that regard. The end of the Whittingham era can't come soon enough.Originally posted by LiveCoug View Post
It needs to stop.

Saint Kyle is a football savant, coaxing wins in the coliseum from a walk-on from Milford high at qb, and a safety playing running back.Originally posted by USUC View Post

I HATED seeing utah win, but I was happy for the pig farmer."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

The pig farmer is a great story. I think Oregon and Washington will absolutely shut him down, but if you'd have told me the Utes went to usc with a walk-on from Milford at qb and won, I'd have laughed in your face.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

Utah is proving that if you have a good defense, you have a chance to win any game."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

And USC is proving that if your defense sucks, it doesn’t matter who is your QB or how many offense playmakers you have.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

Utah has the best defense that I've ever seen in the Whittingham era at Utah. It is also clearly the best depth on defense they have ever had because they have had significant injuries to impact players and are still playing elite defense.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

It might also be the worst offense I've ever seen at Utah. When you are relying heavily on your starting safety to be your only playmaker on offense that is a serious problem.
The Pac-12 is really good this year. The Athletic's ranking of all 133 teams:
https://theathletic.com/4987597/2023...fbs-standings/
Washington - 4
Oregon - 9
Oregon St - 10
Utah - 11
UCLA - 23
USC - 24
Arizona - 33
Washington St - 39
Colorado - 42
Cal - 66
ASU - 93
Stanford - 95
Average Ranking: 37.4
Compare that to the Big-12 this year:
Oklahoma - 5
Texas - 7
Oklahoma St - 28
Kansas - 30
Kansas St - 32
TCU - 43
BYU - 44
Iowa St - 51
West Virginia - 52
Texas Tech - 64
UCF - 66
Houston - 79
Baylor - 85
Cincinnati - 100
Average Ranking: 49
The Pac-12 is even giving the SEC a run:
Georgia - 1
Bama - 8
Ole MIss - 13
LSU - 16
Missouri - 17
Kentucky - 25
Florida - 26
Tennessee - 29
Texas A&M - 41
Mississippi St - 49
Auburn - 56
South Carolina - 68
Arkansas - 70
Vanderbilt - 106
Average Ranking: 37.5
The Pac-12 has been mediocre for a long time, but it is going out with a really good year. The Pac-12 still probably won't have a a CFP team, because Washington, Oregon, Oregon St, and Utah all have a really tough schedules the rest of the way.

Kind of funny that the P12 is having the best year in ages on its last year."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I mean seriously, the Beavers should have beaten WSU and lost to the Utes.Originally posted by BigPiney View Post
I can't believe the stupid beavers lost to WSU. That said, their last two games of the year are set up to epic. Washington then Oregon.
