Our offense is much better when we go vertical vs. horizontal. Why do we go horizontal so much?

I am pretty laid back, so I am really never on the "fire this coach!!!" bandwagon. And I am still not. But I do know that I generally hate watching us play defense.

The run defense is just not good. It's going to lose BYU more games this season.

I would respectfully disagree with that. A good defense shouldn't really give up more than 14 points to this USU team. Or maybe 10.

D played a subpar game, agreed. The O rushed for -20 in the first half. That’s yikes territory. And it put the D in some hard spots.

both sides played well in the third quarter. Both sides let up in the fourth as the game was out of reach.

Most irritating thing about playing them. You win by double digits and it still feels like a loss.

I blame it on that early jet-sweep that Nacua took down town. He made it look easy and our coaches got the idea our strength was on the edge.

The only thing that encourages me about the defense is that I think it's more on the coaches than the players. The entire first half the commentator kept repeating how surprised he was that our coaches weren't making adjustments to tighten the edges. Obviously they made some adjustments at half-time, but I wonder why we have to wait for half-time for the adjustments. I think our defensive coaches sucked a lot worse than our defensive players tonight.

Likely, and Puka is the only one that can make it work, and he got hurt on it. I hate that play.
