If BYU somehow runs the table can they use the Rising Woulda/Coulda/Shoulda argument at the end of the season.? You know, If Puka and Romney were healthy BYU would have won. The fact that neither plays defense or has anything with the LOS being dominated is irrelevant. That’s the beauty of the Rising defense you can ignore pesky facts like those.

Sadly I wasn't joking. I've heard the phrase "acquitted themselves well" countless times over the years. Thanks to google I've learned I've always incorrectly assumed it meant they did better than expected, or they "defended" their point. Really the main takeaway from all of this is-- I'm dumb.

acquitted? haven't listened to the interview. Was Rome accusing him of something? I use to listen The Jungle religiously 30 years ago. Shocking he is still around. From what little I've heard of JR in the last 2 decades he has given up most of the Chris Everett type schtick and has always been one of the better interviewers.

as far as JR is concerned, i was the same - back in the mid-90s i rarely went a day without listening to him. but yeah, it seems he has mellowed since establishing himself.
