Who watches them? Are offering Rugby this semester. May have offered football other semesters too. I checked it on the website. Watched a few YouTube games. No commentary on football. Noticed Boise State played Ricks in woman’s soccer. Madison dragons soccer team that kept coming. Rexburg United is basketball team made up of Ricks students. Play a few junior colleges. Don’t have any home games.
closes thing Ricks has to Intercollegiate Athletics. Ricks students playing on those teams. There are a few club football teams but this sports are mostly Rugby, Hockey and soccer. Sports no one watches. I’m sure if they played other schools in football again would be on something similar to club level and for profit arm of church would pay deficit before tithing if that happened.
Boise State right now probably only Idaho School that profits off sports. Football very expensive to run, equipment, travel and other things. Though it brings in more money than other sports combined. Gate receipts, concessions, fees, broadcast rights, community donations even there many colleges lose money on them.
