Then you'll want to sit down for this:

[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5374028"]ESPN College GameDay to add third hour, Erin Andrews as anchor - ESPN[/ame]

No word on whether or not she'll be dancing.

First hour will be broadcast on ESPNU, however. Just so you know.

I saw that and I am fine with it. Looks like there will be a lot of Erin Andrews during that hour which I am o.k. with that.

Obviously Pitt @ Utah and U-Dub @ BYU have earned top billing for the folks of this board, but here's four other games I'm looking forward to:

            UConn @ Michigan
            Oregon St vs. TCU (Dallas)
            UNC vs. LSU (Atlanta)
Boise St vs. VaTech (Washington D.C.)

            Here's the complete schedule:
            http://www.nationalchamps.net/2010/s...ings/index.htm

Also of note: ESPN's College GameDay is expanded to three hours. So good for them.
As long as things at works calm down by then, I plan on being at that game. This could be the second most important game to date, behind the OU Fiesta Bowl, for Boise. If they can get past VaTech they have a legitimate shot at an undefeated season and a shot at the NC. They are projected as a preseason #2 or #3 with Kellen Moore as a pre-season AA. I know this is a long shot but imagine if BSU wins a NC heading into the MWC.

If you need me, I will be going to go to the Safety Office and volunteering myself for a urine analysis.

The potential would be there, but a lot would have to fall into place for them to just get into the CG. Struggle once against a la tech or Idaho, and the pollsters would eat them alive. Can't see it happening.

I agree. However, I can still keep the dream alive. I see a great showing against VaTech and a win but I do see them struggle with a weaker team.

I'm looking forward to the Utah-Pitt game. Dion Lewis was a monster last year and (for me) the most entertaining RB in the country. It'll be interesting to see if Utah can shut him down. With Stull gone as QB, I'm sure they will need to lean more on Lewis. Could be a huge disadvantage for Pitt. I don't know if any MWC team has faced a RB of his caliber lately.

With few exceptions, a Whittingham-influenced defense will focus on what you do best and at least neutralize it, if not stop it. The run defense has to improve from last season, though. We were very ordinary.

Jim McMahon (along with Gifford Nielsen, Marc Wilson, Steve Young, Robbie Bosco, Ty Detmer and Steve Sarkisian) will be at the UW game helping Holmoe balance the athletic budget with "Y Quarterback Weekend":

“Our goal is to raise $1 million to endow scholarships at BYU, starting with the quarterback scholarships,” said Gifford Nielsen, who was a first-team All-American quarterback at BYU in 1976. “It’s an opportunity for us, as former student-athletes, to honor Coach LaVell Edwards and give back to the University and football program that gave us so much.”

Y Quarterback Weekend begins on Friday, Sept. 3, with a golf tournament at Riverside Country Club. The tournament is scheduled for the morning and will feature a limited number of teams. That evening on the BYU campus, LaVell Edwards will host a dinner and auction, where each All-American quarterback will provide a unique item to be auctioned.

One has to wonder if this is the "great opportunities for BYU" that Holmoe was referring to.

I would maybe add one more to the list:

                          Cincinnati at Fresno State

This one is on late and may be a good to switch after LSU blows UNC out in the first half or after TCU finishes off Oregon St.

I think UNC's D will keep them in the game. UNC might have the most talented D in college football this year. If they had a QB worth a damn they would make a run for a title.

UNC will keep it close if they don't lose all of their starters to suspension.
