I understand, but it would still be an interesting thing to know.

Are service providers able to track fairly accurately who is watching what? Wouldn't technology provide for that capability? Wouldn't D-TV be able to to tell extactly how many hours it's customers watched BYU-TV, ESPN, or TV-Land?
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The Big 12 doesn't allow for individual schools or the local network affiliates in Big 12 cities to broadcast football games not picked up by the Big 12's network/cable partners. Why would they break that trend with BYU?

That guy is crazy. Makes me laugh just thinking about his efforts.

I will not disagree with your comment about CB being a complete joke but I actually I think all message boards are considered a joke inside the athletic departments.

It really is laughable and a complete waste of time.

Well, BYUTV is not a sports network. It would take a lot of work to hire the right kind of staff to make it even as good as the mtn. Because of this, the Big 12 would be better off modeling a tv network after the Big 10.

Does BYUTV have any original programming that it produces and broadcasts? Or is it more like KBYU and KUED or any other public network that broadcasts already produced programs?

                    My loss.

But are those produced by BYUTV or KBYU or the LDS Church? (which are pretty much the same, eh?)

I wouldn't mind BYUTV taking on a stronger sports emphasis as long as it doesn't come at the expense of Martha's Sewing Room and Scrapbook Memories.

Exactly! Just remember that next time you're cheering against the Cougars of BYU. You're cheering against you're own church.

This thread has made me hop on over to the 9403 and there is an interesting documentary on the Joseph Smith papers. Looks like a series. It's actually pretty cool.

I hear they made a ton of money off of the public service announcements that they put on during breaks of the BYU/Michigan State basketball game that was broadcast on BYUTV.

Couple a ton of BYU sports programming with reruns of Big Love and I think you have a winner.
