I frequently don't take that into perspective. I think the SEC wanted a Texas school for recruiting purposes. Mizzou is coming to bring St Louis and to get to 14, kind of like how Utah got to be Weezie to CU being George!

St Louis is like Weezie's big rack. I mean she came with George anyway but at least there was something interesting to bring along!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

    • So when these invitations come, what font do you think they use?

Probably something like this and it's hard to read, so it's taking some time to decipher.

Plus, what do you do with that little piece of tissue paper?
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

True but why not remove dead weight rather than go beyond the ideal? I think it had a lot to do with inroads into Texas' fertile uterus but jettison Vanderbilt's barren womb and you've got a perfect situation.

        • Alright, I've tried to cool off a little bit here and think things through logically. It's not working. I'm a fan and therefore irrational at best. But, here's an idea that might have some teeth to it:

Texas goes up to ND to meet about going as a package deal to the ACC last month. ND says no, but a strong relationship is formed. Texas goes back to the Big 12 with a plan: invite TCU, effectively killing the Big East as a football conference. Once dead for football, Texas hopes the rest of the league crumbles as well. This leaves ND looking for somewhere to go with their Olympic Sports, and nobody will take them without their football program. Perhaps this is the Big 12's best effort at forcing ND's hand.

            And ND takes BYU's slot.

            Crud.

So Texas forms a strong relationship with Notre Dame last month and the first thing they do is kill their conference?

Yes, they do. The bus starts in Boulder and picks up the Ute team on its way to Cali or the NW. It saves money because both schools share the charter bus fare.

Like I said, I've tried to think logically but have proven myself incapable of doing so this morning. :flush:

Good strategy: making Colorado sit on the bus for 10 hours before picking up Utah.

Bad stategy: Colorado gets first dibs on the best seats and then glare at you when you want to sit by them.

That will last all of one trip. Colorado won't stop smoking weed and Utah won't stop talking. This doesn't make for good travel companions.

Even better the U carpools to Green River just to get picked up there and the Utes and Buffs share a watermelon as a peace symbol!

Peace symbo? The Buffs are our rivals. They can share the bus, one team in front...the other in back. But, they will not be sharing that delicious GR watermelon because rivals hate each other.

And one thing I know, Buff-Ute hatred goes back to the Utes thrilling 1962 win over #8 Colorado. Though they have only played one time since then, you can still cut the animosity with a butter knife.
