Well the 10 team Big 12 voted in June I think for more equitable distribution. Before only like 50% was distributed equally. Now I think it's 75%.

I can't seem to find any solid figures. After the agreement in June a Mizzou blog estimated their cut at $13 mil.

Total TV money is $150 between Fox and ESPN between 10 teams with 76% split equally. The rest is divided up depending on TV appearances and other stuff. The ESPN deal only pays $60 mil currently but that will be renegotiated in 2016. So one could expect a big bump in 4 years time.

Hypothetically speaking, couldn't the B12 look to add BYU for all sports to replace aTm, and then bring in say a Notre Dame and say a Boise State as football only members? ND gets to keep their Big East rivalries, the Big 12 doesn't have to deal with the remaining crappy Boise sports outside of football (assuming they ditch the ugly blue rug)... Just a thought.

I don't like Boise State, but it would almost be worth it to bring them along to the Big12 just to watch the MWC implode.

I've got an "in" with someone who has an "in" with someone who most definitely is "in" (the host of tonight's party). My "in" stopped by my house on his way to the soiree and wanted to know what to ask and to whom he should address the questions.

It is unequal revenue share but OU, UT, and A&M get at least $20M each...

Because the Big 12 has unequal revenue sharing, the deal will mean more money for Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma, who all would receive at least $20 million annually from the new deal.

I believe Baylor and ISU get something in the neighborhood of $14M under the new deal.

Yes, 76% is equally shared under the new deal. The remaining 24% is incentive based.

Why should you expect a big jump? They lose A&M and already have rights to Texas and BYU (if Viking is correct), Notre Dame would be allowed to keep their NBC deal per all the speculation, so what would cause the big jump from ESPN?

All Live sports deals are going way up due to the advent of netflix streaming/Hulu/dvr's widening popularity. The pac 10's big new deal is not because Larry Scott is a genius, it is because they were the latest conference to have tier 1 rights come up for negotiation. If the SEC had come up this year they would have dwarfed the Pac 10.
