I'm not sure understand what you're saying. Do you mean that each game played by each team in the conference makes $10M? So for example adding two teams and accounting for the fact that most of their games are conference means approximately an extra $150M for the conference? If that's the case, does that mean that the extra revenue would offset the cost of dividing the pie into two extra pieces?

I guess I don't understand why one conference wants to expand to 12 and the other prefers to stay at 10. Does it come down to the differences in TV deals between the two conferences?

There might be some anti Pac 10 feelings at the end of all this for the Big 12 schools. If Utah goes to Pac, stealing the Utah market away from them by adding BYU could be a motivation. An extremely minor motivation, but hey I'm grasping for anything right now.

Maybe that means that it doesn't work if anyone else leaves. I.e., no A&M to the SEC or the deal falls apart.
