  • Unimpeachable source: Utah no. 1

I thought this was nice and very classy too:

"Utah is not going away now," Meyer said. "I can't think of many schools that are better than Utah, just the toys that you have as far as facilities, and the resources and alumni and everything, and a recruiting base as far as the Polynesian culture.

"When you hear 'BCS conference,' that means nothing to a lot of coaches like myself. To say 'BCS,' you get your brains kicked in every year and you finish 3-8, you're not BCS. You might get a little bigger check at the end of the year because you're in a nice conference, but Utah is a much better program than most BCS programs."
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

YES!!!! BYU comes in at 18.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

So is Meyer sending the trophies to Utah soon? Will he send them postage due?

Just when I thought this debate was finally settled, out comes the Florida Times-Union rankings to throw another wrench into the process.

Does anyone know when the Thounsad Oaks News Chronicle releases its final rankings?

Now you know that this poll has zero credibility.

It will never be settled and Utah won't go away.

I love how all these articles you keep linking always mention SC and Texas, too.

Did you see how well SC did in the ESPN Prestige rankings? Pretty nice, eh?

PS the bigger issue revealed in this article is that we have congressman and congresswomen on the Hill wasting time and taxpayer dollars voting on whether to officially congratulate a sports team. Don't these politicians have sexy homoerotic text messages to be sending?

It doesn't get any better than being mentioned in the same paragraph as USC in an article about claims to the NC. You and I see eye to eye on that one.

LOL. I so agree with your second point too.

This happens every year. Nothing will change this years standings. Utes were number 2 in the AP poll. Enjoy it and move on.

If Urban truly felt that way he would still be at Utah.

He decided to go to a place where he could win 2 BCS titles instead of staying in a place where he could win 1 moral national championship.
