Heaps looks like McMahon in the top picture, made me tingle all over so I know it is true.

Also, anyone tell me who 88 is? His number wasn't listed on the program. The dude is huge. I can't tell you how good he is but he looked the part of a stud d-end. Big wingspan.

Him again getting his shoulder taped.

So does this mark the end of spring practice? Or is there still some time left?

The two guys in the background in street clothes are Bronson Kaufusi and Tayo Fabuluje I believe, 2010 recruits. They are both 6-6.

                  My report:

Attendance was pretty solid I would estimate about 15k were there. Since it was only an open practice and not an actual spring game I am happy about that.

None of the 3 qbs really moved the ball during the scrimmage portion. Heaps was rolling out and had Hafoka on a corner route about 50 yards downfield he put the ball on a rope but just overthrew Hafoka. Afterwards Spencer said it was his fault he slowed down because he did not think Heaps could make that throw.

Riley Nelson is a freak athlete for a qb and I think he can be a contributor even at the quarterback position. But man every single out route he threw it was close to be picked or batted down. THis was against the 3rd team D too. Some walk on DB from Canada was all over his throws. If you watch Lark and Heaps throw the outs the receivers are not waiting and they are not as dangerous. In fact Lee Aguirre jumped a Nelson pass but couldnt pick it off it was deflected and caught.

Neither qb had great receivers to work with, Chambers, Jacobsen, Ashworth, Apo were all held out. BJ Peterson got the most reps and he was literally scared to get hit he would slow down adn brace himself every time he caught the ball.

Zed Mendenhall is going to be a solid fullback he made some nice plays and is a big strong kid.

Van Noy looked very good out there and looks to have gained some weight I still think he is a bit skinny. (He had a sack)

Uona Kaveinga on one play blew up the running back trying to block him, absolutely pad popping hit then celebrated like he just won teh superbowl. He will have to get rid of that USC garbage .

Connell Hess a walk on LB had a pick and made a few nice plays.

It was really dumbed down and its clear Bronco does not give a rats ass about putting on a show for the fans.

How can Nelson be a contributor at QB other than as a wildcat QB?

Zed? How awesome is that. They should get the sound drop of "Who's Zed?" from Pulp Fiction and play it when he makes a play.

                      Is he related to Bronco?

You need to unprivate your video Coach. It is saying we can't watch it.

Hopefully that works now. Nothing great anyway.
