They'll probably have the worst class in the PAC-10 this year, maybe the worst in UW history.

As you posted, very little of the in state talent is going to UW.

They won't win more than four games next season, but I think three years out UW will be back fighting to go to the RB.

If Sark can get things going Washington is certainly the sleeping giant of P10 football right now. However if he doesn't get a good 2010 class and show some improvement quickly, Washington is also on the verge of becoming irrelevant on the Seattle sports scene. Even Softy and Hugh stopped talking that much Husky talk this year.

Right. Goes to show what is really the more remarkable performance. Ugh.
I love how Halley keeps saying Utah went undefeated and won two BCS bowls in four years. Keep it up big guy. I tell you what, I'd rather have Halley in my corner than mpfunk, but i'm sure he's an inspiration to the funkster. Something else that gives Utah an edge over BYU.

it would be cool if Halley only visited CUF once every 75 or 76 years....

You know Halleluja is ex-ute, right?

husky fans are likely hoping that Sark brings some SC magic with him, but my guess is that even if he can get them to a bowl game within 2 seasons, he will be praised. No realistic Husky fan is expecting a return to dominance in the first 3 or even 4 seasons. UW is losing Jake Locker sooner than later and they have no great prospects in their pipeline. They are starting literally from scratch.

If Sark were smart, he would now start back-peddling like Ohbama and tempering expectations with some steady doses of reality.
Who besides USC and Washington pays their defensive coordinator as much as $700,000 per anum? It's not a rhetorical question. I'm just asking.

In the P10? Nobody. In the SEC there are a few highly paid coordinators. Kiffin's dad is making more than $1 mil, some reports have Orgeron who will be a D line coach making $500 k. Crowton makes north of $500k at LSU. Muschamp at Texas got a bump to $900. But there aren't many.

That is part of the reason this is such a big gamble for Washington. If Sark doesn't win, and win soon some of those donor pockets aren't going to be as deep in 4-5 years.

I don't know the answer to this, but I would assume that if any others do, they would be the California schools....fucla, Cal, or The Farm. I doubt very highly that the AZ schools are paying that kind of scratch.
