Screw Sanchez. Of course Pete is pissed.

He made Sanchez what he is today. Sanchez would not be in line to be a top NFL pick if not for Pete. Of course he is going to fight to keep him at the school.

      I'd be pissed, too.

Sanchez is the first of Pete's guys to leave the 5th year on the table.

Pete did his job. He made a name for Sanchez and got him to the NFL. That would have happened next season, as well, so Sanchez isn't really leaving a once in a lifetime chance on the table. Pete stood by his end of the deal and made Sanchez a star. If Sanchez wants to leave early, he is perfectly within his rights to do so, but that doesn't mean the school has to like it.

As usual, once a player goes to the NFL, I don't really care what they do. Sanchez can go play in Detroit or wherever he is drafted. I am sure he will make a lot of money and good for him. He deserves it.

As I said before, bring on the next 5-star QB.

I wonder which is worse. The LDS COB star chamber or the Pete Carroll star chamber. Poor kids.

Just so you know if Sanchez blows out his knee next year at USC, the NFL is not still there. Considering he has a history of injury problems he made the right choice.

Also I wonder if everyone else came back because they thought Sanchez was coming back if they got together and had some sort of agreement, and that is why Pete is pissed maybe for the other players that didnt bolt to the NFL and came back to win a NC and now they dont have a qb.

I will have to go with the Kyle Whittingham you can have the same religious experience here that you can have at BYU star chamber.

Junky is right. Pete Carroll slaps this KID upside the head as the coach cashes his own eight figure paychecks and has five star quarterbacks lined up like jets at O'hare. Was Sanchez a walk on? No. he was one of those five star studs. I think Carroll is overestimating his own importance to this kid who has kept up his side of the bargain. I don't like Pete Carroll. He's just revealed his dark side; it's all about Pete. Even coaches who feel the way he does are embarrassed to act like this. Shame on him. He's made a ton of bad karma for himself and I predict the five star recruits will be fewer and far between from now on.

I think that has something to do with it. And I am sure there have been discussions all season long with Sanchez about next season at SC, with Sanchez making it seem like he would return. Nobody thought he would leave early. Even through the UCLA game, he wasn't some threat to leave early.

As for the injury, he can buy insurance, just like everyone else. There have been relatively few examples of a huge NCAA star that comes back and then gets a career ending injury in his final year, thereby losing his shot in the pros. It has happened, but very rare. Extremely rare, I would say.

I get why Sanchez left. Pretending that Pete shouldn't be pissed is what baffles me. Would people here be happy about it if they were in his shoes? Yawn.

Pete is all about SC. If you are going to leave early and you turn your back on SC after SC makes you a star, then screw you. Not too hard to understand that.

I dont care that Pete is pissed, I am surprised at his lack of decorum. He is acting like a petulant child. He should show restraint and class. As my grandpa once said, he may not be able to help it, but he could at least learn to overcome it.
                    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Well stated. He's breached an inviolate code of conduct among coaches. Totally lacking in class. Sanchez owes Pete a fifth year? Give me a break. Even Pete Carroll can't win without great players, as we've seen. Talk about exploitation. Pete Carroll is abusive.

Yeah, I can see that to an extent, but no big deal. He was pissed. Probably still very pissed.

if you want him to learn to overcome it, give him more than 10 minutes after hearing the official news.

I am sure he won't be as pissed once he digests it.

There's no need for you to defend Carroll, as his actions are indefensible. He's a selfish ass and showed it.

He's still a helluva coach, but I won't shed any tears for him.

                          What a baby.

nobody is shedding tears for him. they have plenty of QB talent in the cupboard.

i think the issue is whether he should be mad. or at least whether he should be mad at the press conference.

I'd be mad, too. Sanchez can go his own way and do his thing now. He left the family to get rich. good luck to him!

We are not shunning Sean or Paul from our family. They will always be family. Take note Manti and X.

those guys aren't going to be Top 10 picks.
