Dang. I was hoping he would come out and the 49ers could take him with the #10 pick. I guess there is always next year. Guy is an absolute stud.

Wolfie says that Josh Pinkard was given his 6th year by the NCAA.

Another key cog in the SC defense....coming back next season.

      Lots of good news today.

Good for Pinkie, he lost two years due to knee injuries. The D won't be as dominant as the '08 squad, but they'll be up to speed by midseason. Mays & Harris at safety and Pinkie & Wright at CB.....I like!

While they may not be 2008, only a handful of defenses in history have been up to that level.

This predicted dropoff really means that SC's defense will sink back to its previous levels of simply being an excellent squad instead of a historic one.

Lots of people around the office still high off the 2008 kool aid. Not spending enough time realizing that it may be another 30 years before we see that kind of statistical dominance again.

          I agree with you, though.

What about Jelani Jenkins and Manti Teo at OLB and Galippo at MLB?

In all seriousness, Weddle is a great guy. I got to meet him through my BIL & cousin who played with him on the '03 & '04 squads. He's one of the few guys I root for in the League.
Your BIL is your cousin? Typical creepy Mormon stuff.

My FiL's BiL was his own brother. They were Catholics though.
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

In spring ball, you'll probably see a LB trio of Galippo, Malcolm Smith and Michael Morgan. Jordan Campbell and Luthur Brown will get plenty of snaps as well. Overall not a bad group. I've heard that Uona's getting his papers ready, so I'm not sure of his status for '09 &10.

Did it occur to your incredibly large secular brain that Sipi's talking about two people? A brother-in-law and a cousin?

Or was that one of your lame attempts at humor?

It will be interesting to see, over the next few years, if Sark and Co can get guys like Mays to stay in town and play for the Huskies.

You mean guys like Jake Heaps? Don't think Sark isn't trying, although he must realize the fruitless nature of his errand.
