Not sure how much insurance he could get since he is not projected to be drafted very high or at all. I am just happy he is coming back though!Originally posted by YOhio View PostThat's great! I am happy for the team, but a little bit nervous for Harvey. I hope he buys insurance.Dyslexics are teople poo...

Translation: he isn't going to get drafted so he decided to play another year of college football before he starts his professional flag football career.
I am very disappointed in this news, I thought Unga at least had a shot at the NFL and that would get him out of BYU a year early. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

It is funny watching CB fight over whether Jay Drew or Harmon is correct about Unga."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

Is running back Harvey Unga returning to BYU for his senior season?
Probably, but Unga himself isn’t saying so right now.
Having seen a report that Unga told BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall and running backs coach Lance Reynolds Tuesday morning that he is returning to BYU, I just sent a text message to Unga for confirmation.
Here’s what he texted back around 1:45 p.m. MST. You be the judge.
Me: Reports out there say you are coming back?
Harvey: I am not sure yet. I’ll most likely meet with coach when he gets back and talk to him.
Me: Supposedly, your dad has told a reporter you are coming back.
Harvey: I talked to my pops but haven’t told him for sure. Just thinking a lot about stayin and gettin school stuff done, but I gotta talk to coach mendenhall about some stuff b4 I declare for sure!!Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

This response was so obvious I'm disappointed it took until the 33rd post in the thread. It's been used so many times already speculating if he'd be back it should have been used in this thread right out of the gates.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostTranslation: he isn't going to get drafted so he decided to play another year of college football before he starts his professional flag football career.

BYU was never at risk of only 6 wins, with or without Unga. That thought is laughable. The worst they were looking at was 8 wins.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostThis is huge news for BYU 2010. Honestly this may be the difference between 6 wins and 8-9. Welcome back Harvey, one of my favorite Cougs ever.
If I were friends or advising Harvey I would have told him this is 100% the wrong decision. No I don't believe he would be a 1st day pick, but whatever round he is picked in his earning window is short in the NFL. As all RBs are.

I'm beginning to like you more and more, PU. You compliment BYU, and tear down the U. I am guessing the NFL advisory committee was not very high on Harveys draft prospects and we will see a pissed off and motivated Harvey this year.
He should be the preseason OPOY, and with BYU returning essentially the whole O-line and some top RB recruits I wouldnt mind seeing a bit of a power running game to get the new qb acclimated.*Banned*
