Good for him. It is inexplicable, but every now and then a BYU player comes along who I just really like. Collie is one, probably because you just can't help but respect his game, "magic" notwithstanding.

You know, for some reason (it must be my red goggles), I didn't expect him to do that well in the NFL. But the kid has surprised me nonetheless. He was something else to watch in college, and if he keeps this up (having Manning as a QB helps), he could have a long and successful career. Fun player to watch on sundays.

              Pretty impressive kid.

My BIL served in the same mission as Collie. He's a Ute and not a team sports fan. So he didn't know who Collie was. I wish he had a 'google my ass' story. Still, he said he was a douche bag on the mission. Which I believe. He also said he got a new missionary to train who went fanatical when he found out AC served in their mission. I guess his greenie had googled his ass.

Anyway, this line from his senior year is pretty amazing.

In other words, he was an every-down, every-play Iron Man of will and desire. As a senior, Collie had 18 of his 23 touchdowns on receptions, made seven field goals and 37 extra points, made 53 tackles and had two interceptions.

The most amazing thing to me about Collie is how well he is playing in the NFL. I had no idea he would be this good. I understand the whole "Having Manning helps" sure it does but he still has to get open and catch the football.

                NFL rookie ranks by receiver:

                Receptions

                1. Collie- 59
                2. Harvin- 53
                3. Maclin- 52

                Yards
                1. Hakeem Nicks- 792
                2. Harvin- 731
                3. Maclin- 715
                5. Collie- 661

                TDs
                1. Collie- 7
                2. Harvin- 6
                3. Nicks- 6

He should get serious consideration for rookie of the year. Granted I think Harvin should win it, but Collie should be in the running.
