Kaveinga transfer

Questions on Kaveinga: he played two years at USC, so he has three to play two, right? Did he redshirt at USC or did he play both years? What was his playing time like? How do the USC faithful see this transfer? As a guy stuck in the depth chart leaving to get some PT no big deal it frees up a schollie or a future contributor/star leaving that really might hurt?

I have a buddy that's a huge USC fan. He said Kaveinga did not redshirt, so he does have three years to play two. He was thinks it was a good decision by Kaveinga to transfer. He wasn't going to get playing time, becuase the guy in front of him is just too good. Kaveinga will be a great get for us. USC is always overflowing with great linebackers. Having a couples of years learning under Ken Norton doesn't hurt either.
