My bad, Babes and Mormon Red Death are correct: Austin is cool. I forget about Austin. I really enjoyed my visits there.

Mormons would tear sh** up every other year as they descended upon Norman. It would be anarchy.

Well, they don't sell alcohol in the stadium, so just make sure to stock up on PBR pregame.

And I say you's guys are nuts who are picking the MWC over the Big 12. Rather have better competition and tradition than the MWC. Yeah, it'll be harder to get to the BCS, but that's not the end all for me.

So you'd rather be a .500 team in a conference because it has tradition? If that's your logic why don't we start lobbying to join the Ivy League?

I like competition too don't get me wrong. The MWC isn't garbage. The bottom half is, but you still get games against Utah and TCU.

With there being no huge academic disparity between the B12 and the MWC (you're welcome SU), it all simply comes down to money and stability. The B12 is richer and has a better chance at survival.

You think we'd consistently and permanently be a .500 team in the B12 North?

I also would love for BYU to join the Ivy League. It would do wonders for my resume.

That depends. How is the Big 12 made up? Is this poll based on Mizzou leaving and BYU filling that void or does it become a 13 team conference playing round robin? If the latter then yes they struggle.

I was voting under the assumption that either Mizzou or Colorado bolt and we take their place in the Big 12 North.

My guess is that BYU would have been 1 or 2 in the Big 12 North this year, with a win over at least one team in the South.

If that's the case then I think BYU is in contention to play in the Big XII championship game representing the north most seasons. But I don't think the Cougars win many of those championship games if any against Okalahoma or Texas.

Why? BYU is 2-0 against both teams.

I voted before thinking too much and I'd change my vote if I could.

I voted for MWC as-is with an auto-bid because that gives BYU the best chance of getting to a BCS bowl.

After 2.3 more seconds of thinking about it, I would vote for BYU in the Big 12 because I would have more chances to go to their games in person. And I can see how being in the Big 12 would bring more prestige, etc.

I don't understand the MWC-plus-BSU option compared to the others. If you want a more difficult schedule, the Big 12 option is clearly better.

playing a big 12 schedule > playing a MWC schedule with a better chance at the BCS.

It isn't all about the BCS.

But winning the MWC and going to a BCS Bowl every other year gives you everything that Jay Santos is arguing about except maybe the regular season schedule.

You think we play a weak OOC schedule now, it'd be worse if we moved to the Big 12. And with their "3 on, 3 off" scheduling between divisions, you might get one or two decent conference game outside of Nebraska every couple of years.

Winning the MWC and going to the BCS still mean 1-3 BYU games with much appeal all year. You still play UNLV, New Mexico, CSU, AFA, SDSU.

Also if we were in the B12 North we would win that division as regularly as we are winning the MWC this decade. So then you are one big win away from the NC game, not just a BCS game.
