Which is why everyone should pass on your offer to stay at your house for the Utah/Notre Dame game.

I'm pretty sure wuapinmon established a separate forum for comments like this.

I'm sure you meant that the Mickey Mouse Club theme song sounds like Utah Man, not the other way around. Utah Man is much, much older. And yes there is a similarity, but it is a cool fight song.

Very cool, a few of my favorite lines:

I am a Utah man, sir and I live across the green.
Our gang it is the jolliest that you have ever seen.
We may not live forever on this jolly good old sphere,
But while we do we'll live a life of merriment and cheer.
Any song that uses Jolly twice is alright by me. To bad about 5 Ute fans at any given game know the song. Not one person sings it all they do is yell the part at the end.

I assume you are being sarcastic, but having some vestiges of a tradition that reaches back to a time when words and expression were used that are no longer in use is very cool in my book.

I was being serious, especially about the part where I said nobody knows the song.

Yeah, but you're talking to a rival fanbase that "vanquish[es] every foe." Archaic diction is hardly differential.

I still don't think it sounds like the Mickey Mouse song.

I think this might actually be "more of our fans know our fight song" smack. Awesome.

winning tradition, reason to know the song, etc.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

THe priginal meanign of queer is odd, but that never stops anyone who hears it from thinking of somethign else. Let's just say they sound like each other. The point is that if your fight song makes everyone think of Mickey Mouse, then it is seems it wopuld be inherently ineffective at rallying the fans. Not really smack, but every time the band played it I wanted to sing along M-I-C etc.

and if Triplet can't hear the similarity his input on musical issues seems a little more suspect than it has before.
                                PLesa excuse the tpyos.
