I think Max should be able to say what he wants and not have to apologize. If all players and coaches ever say is the usual "We have the utmost respect for Coach Whittingham and his team as well as the University of Utah" stuff, it gets pretty boring.

Players and coaches should be able to speak their mind, and everybody else shouldn't take their comments so seriously. Political correctness makes everything bland and boring. It sucks.

That was a good sincere apology. I will bet though, there were still some pricks on CB that didn't accept his sincerity.

...I stood up in Priesthood meeting today and apologized
Are you saying he had priesthood on a Monday? Was that a repost? He joined the day before and has three other posts:

Pretty simple. He spends the day after his ill-fated remarks preparing his apology. He goes to Church and apologizes (which was cool, btw). Undoubtedly ran through a few drafts of his written version once he comes home. He joins CB on Sunday...most likely in the evening or afternoon. He probably spends the day reading all the posts to get a feel for what he should say. He finalizes his draft but doesn't post it until Monday, even though he had written it the day before.

Being accustomed to Utah's non-rigorous academic standards, he does no proof for continuity or spelling before submitting his final draft.

Max Hall goes out a winner again. He ranks near the top of BYU QBs. Even his apologies are better!
            Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Of course, you keep removing that part. Jeez if you want to run smack, at least be honest about it. You're like one of those witnesses whose every other statement on the stand is a lie and wonder why you lack credibility.
He had to go out and celebrate after the game, sleep, go to church have lunch (and last laugh) with his family. 12 hours seems about right.
