Didn't this poor result have more to do with the Holy Spirit's inability to flow freely through unnatural surfaces?

Well the grounds crew at BYU must not know what the hell they are doing with stuff like this. See the condition of LES field during the first couple games this season as another example.

I'm pretty sure both the field turf and resurfacing of LES were outside contract jobs, so maybe they just don't know who to contract, although odds are the same outfit that installed field turf at BYU also installed it everywhere else.

I have heard a certain explanation from a couple people as to why LES isn't field turf yet. From my understanding, as long as Bronco is head coach field turf in LES won't happen. Take that for what it is worth.

Having had "experiences" with both and talking to many others that have played on both, field turf is the preferred surface to play on.

            Makes sense.

Gordon Monson: "Why did you choose grass instead of the new field turf many schools are going to, coach?"

            BM: "For spite".

The Turf is very high tech.. Has real grass involved in the turf from what I was told...

I too prefer field turf. It's much easier on my knees.

I've been on field turf many times in 100+ weather at football camps and baseball. It is hotter but I have never felt any turf that would blister your foot in socks let alone shoes. I have a hunch BYU's problem was either an installation issue or they bought the crappiest stuff available.
