6Absolutely! BYU would be nowhere without that Ute foundation.33.33%2I wasn't alive yet. Who's Roy Jefferson, anyway?16.67%1This Poll is all Seattle Ute's fault.50.00%3The whole idea of claiming that your rival has succeeded because of your own excellence is silly.0.00%0Last edited by LA Ute; 11-12-2009, 03:04 PM.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

But to the point, they were riding the coat tails of WYO's '76 Fiesta Bowl appearance (28 years before the utes were invited, btw)There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

Don't forget the Wyo 1968 Sugar Bowl team. They were ranked 5th and had Jim Kiick, and lost by a touchdown to LSU. I remember cheering for them as a kid - they were the local guys. BYU rode on thjat team's coattails too. But Utah didn't. The Utes had already been to the Liberty Bowl, after all.Originally posted by landpoke View PostDude, the Droid's going back to the store.

B.J. Mathis, Karland Bennett, and Billy Skinner got kicked out for riding the tail of some BYU Coed.
Oh, wait - you guys were using that phrase differently, right? Sorry. If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.
