He didn't drive down to Eugene because he said there would be traffic.

He does go to UW football games, although his motives are specious....he has admitted to spending pre-game "strolling" around campus looking at architecture and post-game thinking about the USC football players' young "scrubbed" bodies and how none of them are virgins.
