Well the fact that BYU has played a tougher schedule, they play 100% zone defense, and they rarely blitz might have something to do with the fact that they dont have as good of pass defense. Also the defensive philosophy is bend dont break, and BYU has a much better run defense than Utah so teams abandon the run earlier and throw the football. There are so many factors.

Regarding DPOY, I agree ROJO is right up there, but Hughes did have 2 more sacks today, he has 9 on the season to go with 31 tackles and 14 TFLS on a better rated Defense than Utah.

How the crap did Utah get shut out 27-0 two years ago. I just looked at the play by play; 20 of UNLV's points came on turnovers, three of which were inside the Utah 35. Grady threw an INT in the end zone, and BJ was dropped for a loss on 4th and goal from the 1.

      That'll do it.

That call was bullshit. Let the players have some fun out there.

Might be the best thing that ever happened to the program, 25-2 since then.

If you had just said that Logan and Bradley were better, I wouldn't have really disagreed because I could see how you could reasonably make the claim. It is more the night and day better comment. I agree that Stanford isn't good, but if he was as bad as you are claiming it would show in Utah's defense in a man-to-man scheme.

Hughes is right up there with RoJo for DPOY.

You are right it is not night and day. I really do not like any of the 3.

I am wondering if it is a problem with Roderick's coaching. I remember him having pretty bad hands at BYU.

One thing that I'm very impressed wit hteh WRs this year is their blocking ability.

Also, Robert Johnson should be the frontrunner right now for MWC DPOY.
Seems like many of Johnson's picks are simply overthrows by the QB rather than some stellar defensive prowess. Couldn't any safety make those easy catches?

Yeah, any safety has the speed and savvy to get to those balls, let alone the ability to catch them. He should easily finish his career with more picks than any BYU player in the last 35 years, but he is just an average safety. You are truly an idiot

I didnt see anywhere that he said he was an average safety. Also Scott Johnson is not far behind ROJO in regards to ints on the season and Scott Johnson is an average safety.

RoJo is #1 in the nation in INTs. Granted, the season is only half over so everyone is not that far behind.

Sorry, he said any safety, so I guess that includes the below average ones as well.

No, junkie is a merely a miserable vomitous mass, and he wears dark blue goggles, but he is my dark blue goggle-wearing miserable vomitous mass, and that makes all the difference.

                              Hope that helps.

Actually, that comment was in response to Hallelujah. I'm guessing you couldn't see that because you have him on ignore, so I think you'll agree it is accurate.

I think your junkie assessment is spot on, BTW.
